The Security Network Munich is an association of companies and research institutions in the greater Munich area. Launched seven years ago as a funded project of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, the non-profit association “Sicherheitsnetzwerk München e.V.” was founded in January 2019. The aim of the association is to increase awareness and expertise on the topic of IT security, to promote the protection of companies and the public against cyber risks, and to make a concrete contribution to promoting innovation and excellence in the field of IT security. The networking of all relevant stakeholders is of central importance to the Security Network Munich. Members are therefore both providers and users of IT security solutions, large corporations have joined as well as medium-sized businesses. Research institutions are also part of the association.
